WigWag Named as 2015 CES Innovation Awards Honoree
New York, New York, November 11th, 2014 – WigWag Inc. announced today that it has been named a 2015 CES Innovation Awards Honoree for the WigWag System. Products entered in this prestigious program are judged by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers, and members of the trade media to honor outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge consumer electronics products across 28 product categories.
WigWag’s open source platform enables existing and future smart devices, regardless of brand, protocol or standard, to work together as a simple, cohesive system by using the WigWag App and Relay. WigWag Relay has the capability to communicate with a wide array of devices and protocols due to the software inside, called DeviceJS, which provides a common, understandable language to simplify development for the Internet of Things.
“WigWag is excited and honored to be recognized by CES. It means our mission to create DeviceJS, an open Internet of Things platform for consumers, makers and professionals, is a valuable one,” said Ed Hemphill co-founder and CEO of WigWag. “We want WigWag Relay to work with all other smart solutions on the market — even those that are not out yet — so users would never be limited in what they could do.”
The prestigious CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, the producer of the International CES, the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technology, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.
Entries are evaluated based on their engineering, aesthetic and design qualities, intended use/function and user value, how the design and innovation of the product directly compares to other products in the marketplace, and unique/novel features present. Products chosen as CES Innovation Honorees reflect innovative design and engineering in some of the most cutting edge tech products and services coming to market.
The WigWag System will be on display at the 2015 International CES, which runs Jan. 6-9, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Come by Booth 75422 for a demo and to find out more about WigWag’s products.
2015 CES Innovation Honoree products are featured on CESweb.org/Innovation, which lists product categories, as well as each product name, manufacturer information, description, photo and URL.
